Antioxidant B 612 can be applied in hot melt adhesives, natural and synthetic tackifiers. The blend can be used in all types of elastomers such as BR, IR, NBR, SBS, SIS, SEBS, SBR, EPDM as well as NR.

Antioxidant B 612 is also recommended in styrene homo- and copolymers, polyolefins homo- and copolymers, and other organic substrates.

Antioxidant B 612 improves not only the initial color of hot melts but also the color retention after high temperature oven aging. Good viscosity stability and skinning retention can be obtained for hot melt adhesives by adding Antioxidant B 612.

In the recommended applications Antioxidant B 612 provides significant advantages, such as maintenance of original melt flow, low color formation, improvement of long-term thermal stability.

Antioxidant 168 - an organophosphite of low volatility and particularly resistant to hydrolysis – protects during processing organic polymers which are prone to oxidation. Antioxidant 565 - a hindered phenolic antioxidant - contributes synergistically to the polymer’s stabilization during processing

and provides long-term thermal stability by preventing thermo-oxidative degradation during service life.

The use levels of Antioxidant B 612 in hot melt adhesives range between 0.3% and 1.0%, depending on substrate and processing conditions. Extensive performance data of Antioxidant B 612 in various organic polymers and applications are available upon request.
