1222 is a phenolic antioxidant containing phosphorus. It is a highly efficient, non discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates such as plastics, synthetic fibers, elastomers, adhesives, waxes, oils and fars. It protects these substrates against thermooxidative degradation. It is odorless, stable to light and has excellent color retention. It has good compatibility with most substrates and high resistance to extraction.
SPECIFICATIONS
Chemical Name Diethyl((3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl) phosphonate
CAS No. 976-56-7
Structure Antioxidant 1222
Molecular Weight 356
APPLICATIONS
1222 is particularly suitable for use in polyester fibers, acetal homo- and copolymers. It protects polyurethanes against oxidative degradation.
FEATURES/BENEFITS
1222 effectively protects synthetic fibers against photochemical and thermooxidative degradation, in use and during manufacture and processing. To be fully effective, it should be added after transesterification. It is highly extraction resistant, especially when added to the polycondensates under the recommended conditions. It can be used alone or in combinations with other SANOX stabilizers and co-stabilizers.
